Biography

         Daniel Wilkinson received an MFA in painting and printmaking from Yale University and a BA in English from Davidson College. He also studied art at Indiana University, Bloomington, and the Tyler Rome program. His awards include an artist’s resident grant to the Yaddo artist colony in NY State and a Mellon Foundation Grant.  He currently is a tenured Associate Professor of drawing, painting, and digital imaging at Bucks County Community College near Philadelphia.  He has also taught full-time at Louisiana State, Furman, and Towson Universities.  He has experience outside the classroom as a scene painter for theaters and TV, a freelance graphic designer, and on the staff of the Frick Collection in New York. 

         His work has been exhibited both nationally and abroad, most recently at the Art Basil festival in Miami and the Ziehersmith Gallery in New York City.  Mr. Wilkinson currently works primarily in drawing and painting, but also in prints that combine woodblock and digital images.
